Yellow Broomrape (Orobanche sp.)

i initially thought this was some sort of crazy yellow Butterbur due to the leaves, but i think its some kind of Broomrape which is parasitic of the Butterbur/Coltsfoot plant (possibly the Knapweed Broomrape – O. elatior)
