Down Jacket – PHD Yukon Down Jacket
For more serious winter outings we use PHD’s Yukon Down Jackets. PHD make the best lightweight kit on the market.
These hooded jackets are extreamly light at 450g and are made using PHD’s 900 fill-power down. They are rated to -15°C, with a box wall construction. Lightweight wind/water resistant Drishel outer and lightweight MX fabric inner. It also has a front zip with internal draft baffle; zipped handwarmer pockets; Stud-on hood with lycra edging; Stretch hem cord. And a VERY small pack size.
I just wouldn’t go Munro bagging in winter without mine. Its fab.
(For extra-cold Alpine winter days (below -15) its possible to wear a Ultra Vest underneath a Yukon Jacket for super-toasty warmth. )
