UK Area: Scotland
Details: The path up is in the form of a route plotted from 1:50 map. The saftey bearings for the way down are taken from www.mcofs.org.uk/assets/mountainsafety/nevis_map.gif and are recorded as a route between 3 points. The ability to follow a compass bearing and estimate distance travelled are essential mountain navigation skills. Always take a map and compass not only your GPS. Note: these waypoints DO NOT reflect the positions of the new set of summit cairns.
NB: This file is a 'Route' consisting of a small number of Waypoints plotted on a Computer, it is NOT as detailed as a Track recorded by a GPS in the field.
