We took a week for winter Munro bagging at half-term in Crianlairich: On Day 1 we tried to get up Cruach Ardrain (1046m) but got blown off at 850m Day 2 was brilliant and we bagged Ben Vane (916m) after being turned away from Sgiath Chuil (921m) due to stalking. Two days Munro Bagging in Glen Etive Bagging Stob Coir’an Albannaich (1044m) and Meall nan Eun (928m) at bottom of Glen Etive. Fantastic sunny day. High avalanche risk on SE to SW slopes, lots of patchy windslab and sastrugi to navigate through safely. Some crampon work needed on steep harder North slopes. Buchille Etive More » read more »
