May-bank Bagging #2: Mullardoch
Day 1: Flew to Inverness, drove into Glen Affric and then bagged;
[ad#alpine-flowers]
Day 2: Backpacked in to the far end of loch Mullardoch to set up camp. Rained all day. See a map of our route (as a PDF file) here…
If i were to do this again i’d get a ferry down Loch Mullardoch rather than walk in (for details call Karl on 01456 415347). The only good thing about the walk in was the wild flowers by the loch side. Specifically shed-loads of;
- Common Milkwort
- Wood Anemone
- Spotted Orchid
- Lousewort
- Chickweed-Wintergreen (a new one for us)
- Yellow Pimpernel (not seen this in Scotland before either)
