May: Glen Affric  

May Bank Weekend we took a flight to Inverness and walked into Glen Affric for two nights at the remote Allt Beithe Youth Hostel. From there we bagged; An Socach (921m), Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan (1151m),  Mullach na Dheiragain (982m) – we used this route Mam Sodhail (1181m), Carn Eige (Carn Eighe) (1183m), Beinn Fhionnlaidh (1005m) then on to Tom a’Choinich (1112m) and Toll Creagach (1054m) – we used this route

Easter: the Cairngorms from Newtonmore  

Weather was a bit mixed with white out blizzards, so we didn’t take any photos.
We did however get some good bagging in…

The Aonachs by “Easy” Gully  

A fab winters day out bagging; Aonach Beag (1116m)  Aonach Mor (1221m) by easy gully, which was really quite steep at the top and not at all easy.

Petersgrat Glacier (3163m)  

The Petersgrat Glacier is a huge plateau of ice a few hundred meters higher than the Mutthorn Hut (and around a mile or so to the south of it).
