Details: A longer version of the normal horseshoe in favour of taking in Mosedale Cottage Bothy and a good route for seeing Red Deer. From Wet Sleddale Reservoir SW via Wasdale Pike and Great Yarlside. W along fence line via Harrop Pike to Sleddale Fell. NW to Tarn Crag then N to Mosedale. NE to Mosedale Cottage (good lunch stop). Continue ENE to Scam Matthew then NNW to High Wether Howe. E to Seat Robert then along wall to gate, Return via Sleddale Hall and S side of reservoir. 21km, 659m ascent/descent, est time 5:50. (Based on gps trace recorded on 7/5/13). Very squelchy route even in dry weather.
