Details: From Slaggyford village minor road SW to Longdyke Head. Left onto shooters' track SSW to Highshield Green. Track runs out at Wolf Cleugh. Follow fence line up hill to fence junction (best line is about 80m E of fence until dog leg at Long Grain). At fence junction follow fence ESE to Tom Smith's Stone. Cross fence and follow S side NE to Gray Nag. Follow wall E briefly to fence. Cross fence and descend SE along fence to Woldgill Burn. Cross stream and follow it to junction with Gilderdale Burn. Cross stream (no bridge despite FB on map). Follow S bank to FB. Join Isaacs Tea Trail/ Pennine Way (PW), head N to Whitely Castle. Cross road, follow PW to rwy. Follow rwy path to start. 20.5km, 630m ascent/descent, est time 5:15hrs. (GPS trace recorded 26/06/13)
