Details: This short walk takes in a Roman fort, a fortified medieval hall, 2 henges and a castle. Park on road outside Brougham Castle. Walk back to B6262 past site of Brocavum Fort. Turn right, follow minor rd to Brougham Hall. Continue to A6, Turn right, cross Lowther Bridge. Turn left in Eamont to pass Arthur's Round Table (henge). Follow B5320 as far as Millenium Stone. Turn right follow minor to visit Mayburgh Henge. Contnue N on minor rd as far as FP back to Eamont. Cross Eamont on pipe bridge then follow N bank of Eamont back to start. 6.5km, 56m ascent, 1:20hr.
