Details: Park NZ024088. Walk 200m down rd.Turn L by Lodge. Follow track NW then W to leave forest by stile at NZ011093. Ascend gully S past adit on right and Jinglepot Hole on lft to stony track going SW. Follow track to minor rd. Cross rd, continue on track E by Hope Scar. Leave track on BW at NZ037077. Keep new deer fence on rt, follow fence to Black Hill Gate. Take BW NW until BW leaves track at NZ036087. Stay on track W to rd. Turn rt to Car Park. 10.1km, 240m ascent, 2:10hr. - The Forestry Commission has built new tracks and felled a lot of the forest. As result route on ground differs markedly from that expected from 2012 version of OS Explorer or GoogleEarth imagery (captured 2001). Felling has given superb views to N on eastbound section of walk.
