Details: A short sharp climb from the East Lyn Valley at Brendon via Cross Lane leads onto Exmoor at Cross Gate. The route then crosses Tippacott Ridge before dropping to cross Lankcombe Ford and climb Withycombe Ridge to Doone Country arriving at the Badgeworthy Water by the site of a medieval village. A pleasant walk by the Badgeworthy leads to Malmsmead (pub, PC). Finally a BW through Southern Wood leads to the lane back to Brendon (PC, pub). 13.4km, 323m ascent/descent, 3:10hrs. Recorded 1/10/18
