UK Area: Wales
Details: 21km walk from the entrance to the Glaslyn nature reserve on the Staylittle-Machynlleth road. About half is on access tracks the rest open moorland not dissimilar to the Hirant and Elan hills.
Clipyn Du gives the best viewpoint . There is a good path from the track to the CD summit plateau but from three it's a case of occasional tracks sheep paths and heather bashing. All the stream heads are very wet so the longer walk is often better the the straight line
