Details: Set in Borrowdale nr Tebay. Park minor rd NY606015. Follow rd then track W through Borrowdale past Low and High Borrowdale Fms. At second bridge take BW (v faint) on N bank climbing steadily to meet Breasthigh Road. Climb on track to ridge. For Piper's Hill follow wall line NW crossing at convenient pt to reach summit (no paths). Return to ridge and follow clear ridge path SE to Winterscleugh. At cairn take faint path SE over Roundthwaite Common to Belt Howe. Continue E to Jeffrey's Mount. Descend NE to Roundthwaite and follow minor rd to M6 Bridge. Either return to start by road or cross M6 and take FP S to Salterwath Bridge then complete on minor rd. 17.4km, 540m ascent, 4:30hr. (Recorded 17/09/14)

- To avoid BW, which cuts off corner but is hard going, after High Borrowdale, cross 2nd bridge and continue almost to A6 then climb Breasthigh Road from bottom.
