Whin Rigg, Illgill Head, Sca Fell and Slightside from Miterd
Longish day with a fair bit of climbing but using a fairly unused route - unlikely to see too many people on this apart from Sca Fell summit - feels very remote. Actual GPX track from my Etrex 30 so squiggly line ;-)

Vicar Of Dibley Walk
Turville to Mill End Circular about 12miles This walk takes you into to Vicar of Dibley and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang land using OS Explorer Map 171 Chiltern Hills West or OS Landranger Reading and Windsor 175 Starting in a Turville at The Bull and Butcher PH car park we visit the Vicar of Dibley village and church.,then up the very steep hill to the north of Turville to the Cobstone Windmill used in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Turville isn't only known for Dibley as it has been used in many TV programmes and films including Jonathan Creek and Midsomer Murders. Lord Sainsbury, the chairman of the supermarket chain also lives there. We walk into Fingest. The parish church of St Bartholomew's dates from the early Norman period. It has an unusual tower, with a double vaulted roof. The church is a Grade I listed building. We walk up another steep hill and then down into Skirmett and pass The Frog in Skirmett which is a lovely pub serving great food and beer (or whatever your tipple!) .Don't have too much though because you're not even halfway round, or this stop can be missed if people prefer. We pass through gorgeous Hambledon Village. We eventually arrive at Mill End. In the Mill End part of the village are a watermill, lock and villa. Adjacent to the converted barns and the ordinary home named Mill House, which had served for centuries as home to the moderately wealthy miller of the district,is the much larger, often-photographed Hambleden Mill, which has been converted into flats; this is downstream of a pedestrianised weir from Hambleden Lock. These feature in Jerome K. Jerome's novel Three Men In A Boat. We then walk through woodland and hills , through Southend and back to Turville for a debrief at The Bull and Butcher PH. A walk with some steep hills. Beautiful hills, woods, villages, Thames side and more Red Kites you can shake a stick at! There is some walking on a very busy road for a bit and at least 4 steep hills (bring your walking sticks :) )
