Member's Comments on Lose Hill...

  • Nick Wakelam says...
  • Walked the Great Ridge from Mam Tor. Coffee and cake in the Excellent Woodbine Cafe in Hope before walking back to Castleton & up a windy Winnats Pass
  • Chris Pearson says...
  • A pointy and favourite hill for many, invariably done as part of the ridge walk over Back Tor to Mam Tor. Many ascents - today ran up it from Hope with Rob in light rain as part of our training for the OMM. Once helped dig buried sheep out from snow drifts at Losehill Farm. The summit area is named Wards' Piece after GHB Ward of Sheffield who founded in 1900 The Clarion Rambling Club which became the chief organisation campaigning for public access to the moorland areas of the Dark Peak
  • Summiteer says...
  • First visited this in 1977, and many times after that. The walk along the ridge to Mam Tor and Lords Seat, is one of the very few genuine ridge walks in the Peak District
