  • Visited this in 1980. And this was the only time I ever went there. Back then it wasn't listed on any hill list, and as a teenager obsessed with poring over the One Inch Tourist OS Map of the nearby Peak District, I compiled my own list of summits of over 1000 feet in the Peak District, that I would try to reach. Surprisingly, on that map it wasn't depicted as a separate summit. But having previously visited the area, and seeing that it was from a distance, I decided to include it on my list.
