Member's Comments on Highfield Hill...

  • Chris Pearson says...
  • Easy hop into summit field (high field being an apt name) over a fence in gap in hedge off fp alongside Hallowes Golf Course. Accompanied by the clean crisp crack of golf balls being whacked down the fairway from nearby tee. Hallowes means nooks or small pieces of land when in 1890/1891 local enthusiasts approached farmer Ashton of Hallowes for permission to play over his fields.
