  • Dog walking fields on edge of Chellaston which is skirted by the new A50 South Derby bypass which links to the M1.Th has led to the A514 through the village becoming a main route to the industrial estates of Sinfin and a feeder into the city of Derby which has resulted in daily problems of congestion, pollution and noise. The village has also seen rapid growth in the last few years, with new estates being built around the old village centre.
