• A great spot late on a winter's afternoon with the weak sun sinking towards the sea. I was deterred from vaulting the wall or fence due to keep out notices and people in the buildings who began to watch me as I studied the top which is possibly man made as its got brick underneath, and will soon fall over the all too close edge anyway no doubt? In 1999 the lighthouse / buildings were jacked up and floated on grease 17 metres inland at a cost of £250,000 for the private owner (see Youtube), The Belle Tout Lighthouse and buildings are now a luxury B& B (£165 night). Was famously used for filming the BBC Life & Loves of a She Devil.
