• Climbed this in 1990, during a linear walk from Hartington to Ilam, via Wolfscote Hill and Ecton Hill. The Trig Point is on top of a Bronze Age burial mound, which was later vandalised by having a limekiln dug into the centre of it (just a grassy depression now). Even so, when it was excavated in the 19th century, several stone cists with cremated remains were discovered.
