• Came up from Greens Arms Road and ascended the Witton Weavers Way path, took a right after the farm and onto the trig. The flush bracket is missing and it's been gone a while. Then moved on to the tump of Turton Heights and then back to the road and down onto the path along Entwistle Res to the car

• Visited this on a circular walk in 1994, including Affetside and the Trig Point at High Barn. Just about everybody else apart from Trigpointing UK refers to this Trig Point as Cheetham Close. That is the name of the hillside that it sits on, and it's the name of the megalithic stone circle, which is adjacent to the Trig Point. The name Druidical Circle was what local antiquarians ( the forerunners of modern archeologists) called it, who mistakenly believed such structures were built by the Druids. In fact this stone circle and several ring cairns which are close by, date from the early bronze age ( about 1500-2000 BC ), long before the Druids even existed.
