The walk goes partly on lanes and roads but mainly on bridle paths and footpaths giving fabulous views of Clee hill as well as a pub for refreshments! Lovely Seat & Shunner Fell
From Thwaite follow FP and/or road to Muker. BW to Muker Common then follow line of Greenseat Beck to fence line. Bog hop to Lovely Seat via Peter Rigg and Coghill Head Hags then down to cattle grid on Cliff Gate Rd. Follow faint track to Hood Rigg. Bog hop along fence to Little Shunner and on to Great Shunner. Return via Pennine Way. 18.6km, 660m ascent/descent, est time 4:50. (Based on gpx trace recorded on 27/04/13). Not recommended in poor vis.
